Downtown Greensburg’s energy and charm come to life thanks to the power of community. As a nonprofit corporation, we depend on the support of volunteers, small businesses, and engaged residents to help us organize and promote events that uplift our city and strengthen local connections. GBPA is community-based and volunteer-driven. All proceeds from our events go directly back into promoting Greensburg businesses and supporting a vibrant downtown.
Our events offer something for everyone and each one requires helping hands to run smoothly. Volunteer roles vary by event and may include setup, greeting guests, assisting with activities, distributing materials, or simply sharing your time and energy to create a welcoming experience. Many of these events are designed specifically to highlight and support Greensburg’s vibrant small business community.

Current Volunteer Need: Summer in the City – Saturday, June 22, 2025
We’re currently looking for volunteers to help keep Summer in the City organized and running smoothly. This year’s highlight is a World Record Attempt for the most people blowing chewing gum bubbles at once, and we need extra support to make it a success!
Volunteer roles include:
✅ Check-In & Registration – Welcome participants and help them get signed in
✅ Activity Support – Assist with stations and crowd guidance
✅ Verification of World Record – Help observe and document participants for the attempt
✅ Clean Up – Assist with post-event breakdown and restoring the area
