As a registered artist, you’ll get a set of sidewalk chalk and a square of sidewalk to work with. Squares will be assigned upon check in at the event. See rules below for specific details.
Theme: Best Summer
Age groups:
1. Ten (10) years of age and under.
2. Eleven (11) to Seventeen (17) years of age.
3. Eighteen (18) years of age and up.
Registration; no entry fee. Pre-registration is required.
Prizes:
One prize will be awarded for each age group.
Location:
Saint Clair Park, Greensburg PA
Competition schedule:
11:00 – 11:45 am: Artist can pick up chalk set
12:00 – 2:45 pm: Work on art
3:00 pm: All chalk entries must be completed, and judging will start.
3:00 pm: Award announcement.
Winners do not need to be present during the announcement.
Contest Rules:
· A set of sidewalk chalk will be given to each artist. No other medium is permitted.
· Designs must not go beyond their designated square.
· All artworks must be appropriate for public viewing by all ages.
· No political messages, words or symbols intended as advertisement may appear in the image or space provided.
· No stenciling. Artwork must be created freehand.
· Digital photos will be taken. The event committee reserves are right to use photographs for marketing, promotion, and publicity purposes.
· Organizers have the right to disqualify and or remove any inappropriate art or writing as they may deem necessary.
· Organizers and judges have the right to modify and/or add to these rules, as necessary.
