 All cats and dogs residing with their owners in the 15601 zip code are eligible to enter.

We’re looking for the perfect model to represent all Greensburg Pets!

CONTEST RULES & PROCEDURES

NOMINATION PROCESS:  August 5-15, 2023

  • Pet owner & Pet must reside in zip code 15601.
  • Nominations will be accepted from August 5-15 online at Shopgreensburg.com.
  • The finalists will be selected by the “Pet Ambassador Nomination Committee.”
  • Decisions of the nomination committee will be final.
  • No purchase necessary. Nomination fee is $5.00 to enter.

If your pet is selected as a finalist, the owner and the pet must be present on Thursday, August 24, from 6-8 p.m. AND Saturday, August 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to participate in the festivities in Downtown Greensburg.  Each of the finalists will be assigned to a designated business in Downtown Greensburg, where the public can meet them and cast their votes.  In submitting a nomination, the pet owner acknowledges that pet nominees and finalists may be promoted in social and print media.

THE VOTING PROCESS:  August 24-26, 2023

  • Voting will take place from August 24 – 26 in the specified Downtown businesses only.
  • Each vote will cost $1. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Heal Animal Rescue.
  • The pet that receives the most votes will be awarded the title of “Greensburg’s Pet Ambassador” from August 31, 2023, to August 2024.

    PROCLAMATION CEREMONY & BENEFITS:

    The ceremony will take place on August 31 at 7:30 p.m. during the Greensburg Night Market at Shop Greensburg on 2nd (2nd Street).  The Ambassador will receive the following awards and perks:

    • Opportunity to appear/participate in community events and parades.
    • Will receive the “Greensburg’s Pet Ambassador Bandana” to be worn during the above appearances.
    • Gift Basket of Pet Treats and Prizes.
    • Engraved Sterling Silver Charm.
    • Framed 8×10 Photo of Pet wearing the official Bandana.
