Rizzos Malabar Inn

Rizzo’s Malabar Inn has been a Crabtree landmark since 1935, when Jerry DeFabo’s grandparents opened a bar and store in their home. Originally called the Malabar Inn, it was renamed Rizzo’s Malabar Inn in 1954 by Rezero (Rizzo) DeFabo. Jerry, born in the upstairs living quarters, and his wife Mary Frances (Chic) Rocco took over in 1974, both proudly connected to their Italian roots. Over the years, the DeFabos have expanded and remodeled the restaurant, which now seats 450 guests.
